William Thacker is a London bookstore owner whose humdrum existence is thrown into romantic turmoil when famous American actress Anna Scott appears in his shop. Max cannot stand the reactions the others are given on how to drive to the Ritz. He hits the brake and makes clear he is driving… “James Bond never has to put up with this sort of shit.”
Anna Scott stays at the Ritz Hotel. William passes himself off as a reporter from Horse and Hound to speak to hear. And after their date the walk under the arcades of the hotel.
William visits Anna at the site of the Henry James movie shoot where he hears here talking to here colleagues.
