Gil asks the museum guide from the Rodin Museum to translate a passage in the French book he bought at the market.
Square Jean XXIII is a square in Paris on the Île de la Cité. The doors of Notre-Dame, dedicated to Saint Stephen (porte St.-Etienne), open onto this square, named after Pope John XXIII. The garden extends along the river where you can admire the statues, rose windows and open pillars on the east side of the cathedral. In the 17th century the Bishop's Palace was built on this square, which was sacked by rebels in 1831 and later destroyed. This square was then designed by order of the Prefect of Paris, Rambuteau. The Gothic fountain of the Virgin in the middle of the square dates from 1845.
