Yankee Stadium was a stadium located in the South Bronx in New York City. It was the home ballpark of the New York Yankees, one of the city's Major League Baseball (MLB) team franchises, from 1923 to 1973 and from 1976 to 2008. Yankee Stadium closed following the 2008 baseball season when the building of the new Yankee Stadium was completed, and it was demolished in 2010.
