The Fioretti College is a Dutch school in Lisse, founded in 1980 from a partnership between five schools. The name "Fioretti" is Italian for flowers: the school is in the Bollenstreek, but also refers to the Fioretti a bundle of stories about Saint Francis because the school was originally founded by the Franciscans. The film was recorded during weekends and vacation periods.
