This scene was filmed in the North Satellite (Gate N7) of the Seattle- Tacoma International Airport. Seattle–Tacoma International Airport (SEA), also referred to as Sea–Tac Airport is the primary commercial airport serving the Seattle metropolitan area in the U.S. state of Washington. The airport is located in the city of SeaTac, approximately 14 miles (23 km) south of Downtown Seattle. Update: Unfortunately this piece of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport history that was featured in "Sleepless in Seattle" is now closed for good. It was part of a major $658 million renovation project (2019). Port of Seattle employees held a small 'Goodbye to the Sleepless in Seatle gate' ceremony at Gate N7 in June 2019.
