Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire, arrives at Devonshire House.
Somerset House is a building on the Beach in the City of Westminster in London. The complex is located on the River Thames. In 1775 it was decided to create a new "national building" on the site of the old Somerset House, a palace of the Tudors, to bring together all sorts of government institutions located at many different addresses in a large building in the centre of London. The building is still home to government institutions in the 21st century. The building appears in many films, such as Sense and Sensibility, Tomorrow Never Dies and Last Chance Harvey (2008) and many others.
