The Pont Alexandre-III is a bridge in Art Nouveau style, abundantly decorated with lanterns, cherubs, nymphs and winged golden horses. The bridge was built between 1896 and 1900. The construction, consisting of a six-meter high steel arch over the Seine, is a marvel of 19th century architecture. The design was bound by rules that stipulated that the bridge should not block the view of the Champs-Élysées and the Invalides. The bridge was seen in Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris.
