The Bodnan Garden was founded in 1874. It was developed by five generations of one family. The founder was Henry David Pochin. The garden spans 80 acres. It was visited by over 250,000 people in 2018 and is famous for its Laburnum arch, the longest in the United Kingdom. In 1949 it was gifted to the National Trust. The Laburnum Arch has flowers in May and June. But because it does not bloom on cue the film makers were on standby to come and shoot the scenes as soon as the flowers were at their peak. It turned out to be a wonderful month to film. The garden looks marvelous. The shoot was relaxed and when not working most of the crew lay on the grass.
