The Roosevelt Hotel is a historic luxury hotel. It was named in honor of President Theodore Roosevelt. The hotel was designed by the firm of George B. Post & Son after a assignment of businessman Frank A. Dudley. The hotel opened on September 22, 1924. The hotel was closed for an extensive $65 million renovation from 1995 to 1997. In October 2020, it was announced the hotel would permanently close due to continued financial losses associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. The final day of operation will be October 31, 2020.
