The cinema was originally built in 1927. It opened November 8, 1927. It was re-named Woodstock Dollarodeon Theatre in 1976. Classic Cinemas then acquired the theatre in 1988. The cinema has undergone various renovations which have returned it to much of its original charm. The historic marquee was created in late-1991.
