Paramount Ranch is a 2,700-acre (11 km2) ranch on Medea Creek in the Santa Monica Mountains. The ranch was bought by Paranount Studios in 1927. The Western Town was constructed during 1954. The National Park Service took over a section of the lot in 1980 and restored the sets,. The ranch structures suffered near-total destruction during the November 2018 Woolsey Fire. A campaign was started to rebuild the famous ranch.
