“The locations definitely inspire you. I told the location scouts, “Find me the most beautiful farm in Ireland, and find me the most beautiful mountain.” They found the two of them in the same place in County Mayo, a town called Crossmolina. They took me to the farm, and it was the most beautiful farm I’d ever seen, so I made a deal with the family that owned the place to shoot the bulk of the film there.” (Director John Patrick Shanley to Filmmakermagazine.com) The farm belongs to the Connor family.
