The building has an enormous history. Int this site clothing merchants sold their stuff in the Middle Ages. In 1732 the building was turned into a theater. In 1890 it became a bank. The architects Osvald Polívka and Antonín Wiehl redesigned the building between 1891 and 1894. It resulted in a Neo-Renaissance style.
