The Door Trail is a 1.3 kilometer trail that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and nature trips and is best used from April until October. Badlands National Park is an American national park. It was redesignated a national park on November 10, 1978. The park protects 242,756 acres (982.4 km2) of sharply eroded buttes and pinnacles, along with the largest undisturbed mixed grass prairie in the United States. The park is managed by the National Park Service. The South Unit of the park is being co-managed with the Oglala Lakota tribe. Badlands National Park charges a fee to enter. Fees are $30 per vehicle or $25 per motorcycle. If you are entering on foot, horse, or bike the fee is $15 per person. You can also purchase a park specific annual pass for $55.
