Fury Road was given the green light to begin filming in the Australian desert in May 2003, but the location was ruined by rainfall. Other potential locations scouted included the Atacama Desert in Chile, Chott el Djerid in Tunisia, and Azerbaijan. But the team decided to move to Namibia. The exact GPS location still need to be determined.
