Thelma and Louise pass the truck driver they met once before. They decide to stop and have a decent conversation with the guy.
Thompson Springs, for a time officially also known as just Thompson, is a very small town in Grand County, Utah. In 2010 - at the time of the census - only 39 people lived there. Thompson Springs was named for E.W. Thompson, who lived near the springs and operated a sawmill to the north near the Book Cliffs. The town began life in the late nineteenth century as a station stop on the Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad. Construction of I-70 south of Thompson Springs drew traffic away from the city. The exact GPS location is not know yet, but filming took place on this road.
