The Vondelpark is a public urban park of 47 hectares (120 acres) in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is part of the borough of Amsterdam-Zuid and situated west from the Leidseplein and the Museumplein. The park was opened in 1865 and originally named Nieuwe Park (English: New Park), but later renamed Vondelpark, after the 17th-century playwright and poet Joost van den Vondel.
The Vondelpark Pavilion is a building in the Vondelpark in Amsterdam. It was built in 1874-1881 by architect W. Hamer in Italian Renaissance style and features fluted Ionic half columns, round-arched windows and domed turrets.
The Vondelpark Pavilion has been the Amsterdam home of the merged broadcaster AVROTROS since 2014 after a renovation designed by architecture firm TenBrasWestinga. Here the broadcaster has housed its media and culture lab, called VondelCS. The Vondelpark pavilion has also been presented under the name VondelCS since its reopening.
The movie was filmed before the renovation.
