The Kings Theatre, formerly Loew's Kings Theatre, is a venue for live performances. It is located in the Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn in New York. The theatre opened as a movie palace in 1929. It was operated by Loew's Theatres. It closed in 1977. It stayed empty and closed until its renovation in 2010. The theater reopened to the public on January 23, 2015. "The movie palace was designed in what the architects described as "French Renaissance". But it also has a few Art Deco touches, particularly the lobby light fixtures and the (now vanished) newel light on the balcony stairs," according to bigbbguy on Reddit.
