It looks like filming took place in Italy, but due to the Corona pandemic the production team was forced to look for a fitting location in Los Angeles. A combination of CGI and a real location made it look like Mitch is really in Italy. The square used for filming is the location of Pico House, a historic building which dates from the days Los Angeles was still a small town. It was constructed between 1869 and 1870 by order of the successful businessman Pío Pico. The architect was Ezra F. Kysor.
