The movie was mostly filmed in the Brooklyn Heights, a neighborhood within the burrough Brooklyn. Originally referred to as Brooklyn Village, it has been a prominent area of Brooklyn since 1834. Most of the recognizable brownstone rowhouses where built prior to the Civil War. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1966.
