Syon House is the spectacular London home of the Duke of Northumberland. The house was built in the sixteenth century. The Great Conservatory in the garden of Syon Park was designed by Charles Fowler in the 1820s. The building was completed in 1827. It was the first conservatory to be built from metal and glass on a large scale. The building was extensively restored in 1986 and 1987.
