Lina and Lorenzo admire a statue during their tour of Florence
The Buontalenti Grotto is located in the far north of the Boboli Gardens alongside the entrance to the Vasari Corridor. The Boboli Gardens (Giardino di Boboli) is a historic park that was opened to the public in 1766. Originally designed for the Medici family, it represents one of the first and most important examples of the Italian garden, which later inspired many European courts. The large green area is a real open-air museum with statues from different styles and periods, from Antiquity and the Renaissance, scattered throughout the garden.
