The Pont Alexandre-III is a bridge in Paris in beaux-arts style, lavishly decorated with lanterns, cherubs, nymphs and winged golden horses. The bridge was built between 1896 and 1900, in time for the World's Fair. The structure, consisting of a six-meter-high steel arch over the Seine, is a marvel of 19th-century architecture.
