The Bregenzer Festspiele is the leading summer music festival that attracts hundreds of thousands of people to Brogenz every year. The highlight are the operas on the huge floating stage. Not only opera goers from around the world were thrilled by the spectacular Bregenz staging of Puccini's operatic thriller Tosca in the summer of 2008. In July 2007, a team from EON Productions, the company that makes the Bond films, attended one of the final rehearsals of Tosca. Producer Barbara Broccoli and director Marc Forster were deeply impressed - with the unique location on the shore of Lake Constance, the imposing set with its high technical level, and the modern architecture of the Festival Opera House. For ten days, the Bregenzer Tosca production became a shooting location for the latest Bond film, Quantum of Solace.
