Want to know where The Lost King starring Sally Hawkins, Steve Coogan and Harry Lloyd was filmed at Bridge Place in Edinburgh, United Kingdom? Start scrolling.
Philippa is at the bridge where Richard III’s body was supposedly thrown into the river when she sees the lost king standing on the bridge.
The real bridge is located in Leicester. But there is a story to it: It was thought that Richard’s body was dug up in 1611 and paraded through the streets of Leicester by a jeering mob, before finally being cast into the River Soar off Bow Bridge. In 1856 a local builder, Benjamin Broadbent, erected a memorial plaque next to the bridge, which still survives to this day. The bridge in the movie is partly made of stone but the stone parts are not there anymore.
