This scene was shot in 'Het Kolenplein', an alley between "The Burght" and Cell Block H (the house of detention). The Blokhuispoort is a building complex that served as a house of detention in the city of Leeuwarden until December 2007. The present building was built in the second half of the nineteenth century on the site where a prison had already stood around 1500. After the closure of the prison, the complex was repurposed as a cultural center. About 130 creative entrepreneurs have found a place there.
