Scenes depicting a ruined city for the Lee Miller movie were filmed at the abandoned Kupari hotel complex, just outside Dubrovnik. The Croatian shoot took place in September 2022 at this Adriatic Coast resort. Once a luxury destination for Yugoslav officers' families, the five-hotel beach resort now looks like the remnants of a WWII-era town. The first of the hotels, Grand Hotel Kupari, was built in the early 1920s, accommodating 340 guests. The building was burned down during the Croatian War of Independence in the early 1990s.
