Finsbury Park Reservoir is a large underground reservoir of interconnecting Victorian brick tunnels and arches, approximately the size of a football pitch which lies underneath the grass area of Finsbury Park.
Built in the 1860's, this beautiful reservoir (also known as Hornsey Wood Reservoir) is capable of holding up to five million gallons of water. The entrance is through a manhole; there is some water residue but the reservoir is generally dry.
