The bookshop that inspired Richard Curtis for the one in the movie is located at 13 Blenheim Cres, London w11 2EE (just a few minutes from this location, just around the corner of Portobello Road). This location was only used as an exterior location. The scenes inside the store were filmed in Shepperton Studios.
