Trinity College, officially the College of the Holy and Undivided Trinity of Queen Elizabeth near Dublin, is part of the University of Dublin. It was founded in 1592 by Queen Elizabeth I. Trinity College is widely considered one of Europe's elite universities. The Library of Trinity College is the largest research library in Ireland. The Long Room, which is 65 meters long, is home to the Book of Kells and over 200,000 of Trinity’s most ancient books. It has been a working library since 1732. The library receives 600,000 visitors per year, making it the third most visited tourist destination in Dublin.
